SunBank is a community bank located in Murrells Inlet, S.C., serving Horry and Georgetown counties. Banking operations began November 2000 in a temporary modular banking facility and moved to a 4,500-square-foot branch office in July 2001. Corporate headquarters moved to a 10,000-square-foot permanent office in February 2003. A loan production office, located in The Noble Building in Myrtle Beach, opened in June 2005. The bank offers a full line of deposit products and services, commercial, construction, real estate, consumer and mortgage loans. The bank also offers investment services. Sun Bancshares was incorporated as a South Carolina corporation on August 3, 1999, and serves as the holding company for SunBank.
